Mr. Larry D. Gooden, 56, resident of Selma, formerly of Marion, passed away June 16, 2012 at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Services will be held Saturday, June 23,2012, 1:00 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church, Marion, AL., officiated by Rev.James Reed. Burial will follow in church cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

He is preceded in death by mother, the late Mary Anna Gooden.

Survivors include two sons, Justin Brand and Cortez Gooden; brother, Greg (Clara) Wright; three sisters, Juanita Irby, Lenora Evans, and Carolyn Essex; nephews, Decorion Irby, Carlos Evans, Aldin Essex, Cameron Essex, Decorin Evans, Delmarius Essex; nieces, Tashara Evans, Kim Walters, Shemaryel Essex, Latecia Wright, and Kenhiya Wright; a host of other relatives and friends.
