The Selma Art Guild will accept entries on June 1 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. for their annual Summer Juried Art Show. The show will boast entries of different mediums ranging from transparent and opaque to photography and 3-D.

“We would just encourage anybody who paints to come out,” Guild secretary Cam Guarino said. “There are different judges every year and different judges like different things so you never know unless you try.”

Guarino also encourages residents to come out for the reception on June 10 for free admission, even if they did not submit art.

On June 10 the Selma Art Guild will host the Juried Art Show Reception and entrees will be judged for a cash award. Best of Show will receive $500 and then first, second, and third place cash awards will be given for each artistic category. June 2 is the last day to enter and Guarino said artists from anywhere, and anyone over 18 years of age, is strongly encouraged to submit entrees

Pieces shown on June 10 will be for sale unless otherwise designated by the artist. Artists must submit their work along with a $35 membership fee to the Selma Art Guild as well as a show entry fee of $10 for two pieces. Two additional pieces may be entered for $5 each.
