Lueverta Peterson James, 86, resident of Sardis, AL., passed away April 18, 2012 at Park Place Nursing Home. Services are scheduled for Thursday, April 26, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church officiated by Rev. John Ward. Burial will follow in church cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Survivors include two sons, Hosea (Autherine) James, Jr. and Jimmy (Janice) James; daughters, Verta Brooks, Min. Janie (James) Woods, Lula (Roderick) Moore, Sr., and Evangelist Emma J. Moore; twenty six grandchildren and thirty five great grandchildren.
