Ms. Bessie Goings, 83, resident of Selma, passed away April 10, 2012 at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Services are scheduled for April 15, 2012, 1:00 p.m. at Providence Missionary Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Kairy Crum. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church, Minter, AL. directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

She is preceded in death by spouse, Ovella Duck Goings; parents Willie and Sarah Crum.

Survivors include three sons, Robert and Ovella Crum, John and Aldoisy Goings, Michael and Ghytana Goings, all of Selma; five daughters, Betty Davis of Pensacola, FL., Judy Crum of Selma, Sarah and Sheltdon Witherspoon, Willie Lee Hardy of Radcliff KY., and Vivian Goings of Selma; one brother, Henry Smiley of Selma; one sister, Willie Mae Mack; twenty five grandchildren, a host of great and great-great grandchildren; special nephews, Willie Albert Mack, William Henry Smiley, Peggy Tyson, and Alice Rowe.
