James Lamar Peacock Sr., passed away February 29, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothea Peacock; Son, Lamar Peacock Jr. (Donna); Grandson, Mathew Peacock; nieces and nephews, Jane Welborn, Jeanie Myrick, Ricky Peacock, Marshall Peacock, Sarah Dobson, Julia Wells, and several Great nieces and nephews. Lamar was born the son of a Methodist minister and remained a devout Methodist his whole life. He served his country in WW11 in Germany and France. He retired as a manager of Cal Gas in Selma Al. Lamar was dedicated to his family and will be missed dearly. Funeral Services will be held at 11am at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior.
