The Central Alabama Animal Shelter is inviting the community to sit and stay for its fundraiser to help animals in need.

The Central Alabama Animal Shelter will hold its 5th Annual Paws Ball Auction on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. in the Carl C. Morgan Convention Center.

Sarah Youngblood, a member of the Central Alabama Animal Shelter board, said the auction is used to raise funds for helping the animals the shelter houses.

“It’s just pretty much our annual fund raiser,” Youngblood said. “The board helps to provide food and stuff like that for the animals at the shelter, so we have to raise that money.”

Tickets for the auction are $25 each, or those interested can reserve a table for eight for $180.

Youngblood said food would be provided along with the auction.
