“Going into the area we’re going in, we’ll be playing a very good area,” Miles said. “We need to try to expand on our speed and strength.”

Miles said the Saints’ biggest focus once spring practice begins in a few months will be replacing 18 seniors, most of which played offense, including four on the offensive line.

“We’ve got a lot of people on the defensive side of the ball that are returning,” Miles said. “Offensively, we’re going to be rebuilding, so it’s going to be very important that we work with our offensive line. We lost a lot. Most of our team, a lot of our team, was on offense. We lost all, but one, on the offensive line. It’s going to be very important that we develop that offensive line.”

The start date of spring practices have yet to be set, but Miles said once the date for the Saints’ spring game at Class 1A state runner up Linden High School is set, then practice start dates will be made.
