Mr. Calvin Peoples, Jr., 57, resident of Selma, passed away January 6, 2012 at Lighthouse Nursing Home. Services will  be held Saturday, January 14, 2012, 1:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church, Kings Bend Road, Selma, AL., officiated by Rev. Johnny Goings. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Survivors include spouse, Elaine Peoples; two sons, Torrance Smiley and Calvin Peoples; two daughters, April Smiley and Shanetta Minor; six brothers, Anthony, Charlie, Jimmie, Whylie, Willie, and Michael Peoples; two sisters, Diane Harrison and Carolyn Peoples; seven grandchildren, one daughter-in-law, four brothers-in-laws, eight sisters-in-laws, a host of nieces and nephews.
