Mary Clark Stewart, age 94 a resident of Selma, Al, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2011.  Mary was a member of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church and an active associate member of First Presbyterian Church Selma, Alabama.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother “gg”.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Earl Stewart (W.E.) and her son, Wilton Earl Stewart, Jr. (Chip).  She is survived by her children, Debby Stewart Gresham (Ken), Mark David Stewart, James Dewey Stewart (Susan), Richard Brant Stewart (Sandy); Grandchildren, Laura Stewart, Emily McGough (Patrick), Si Gresham, Brennen Stewart, Gordon Stewart, & Ashley Pruitt; Great granddaughter Catherine Clark McGough; sister Maureen Groverstein (Carl) and brother Julian Weyman Clark.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 3rd at 1:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church in Selma, AL. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service in the sanctuary.  In lieu of flowers memorials in memory of Mary C. Stewart can be made to First Presbyterian Church in Selma, Teen Challenge Fund.
