Carrie Lundy Jones Hunter, 84, a native of Selma, Alabama, departed this life on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 in Lithia Springs, Georgia.

Carrie was preceded in death by her parents Willie Lundy and Hettie Lundy Jackson as well as four brothers, Isaac Lamar Lundy, Sylvester Lundy, John Donald Lundy, and Augustus Larry Lundy.

She leaves to cherish in loving memory ten children; Judge Gwendolyn (Kenneth) Thomas of Cleveland, Mississippi, Joan (James Earl) Thomas of Shaw, Mississippi, Carolyn T. Jones of Lithia Springs, Georgia, Yolanda J. Celik of Smyrna, Georgia and Sheila H. (James) Lawrence of Austin, Texas, Clarence (Janis) Jones Jr. of Roswell, Georgia, Frederick (Virginia) Jones of Clarkston, Georgia; siblings, Dr. Willie Larry Lundy of Dallas, Texas, Bertha L. Smith of Montgomery, Alabama, Marzetta L. Baldwin of Powder Springs, Georgia and Liz ((Rev. Arthur F.) Farr of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; four sisters-in-laws, Sally P.Lundy, Alberta Lundy, Mary Lundy all of Selma, Alabama and Betty Lundy of Cleveland, Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public Viewing will be held Friday, November 11 from 2:00-7:00 pm at Willie A. Watkins Funeral Home, 1003 Ralph David Albernathy Blvd., SW, Atlanta, GA 30310. Prior to her Celebration of Life Services at 11:00 am, a Family Hour will be held at 10:00 am on November 12, 2011, at Israel Missionary Baptist Church, 2071 Hosea L. Williams Dr. SE, Atlanta, GA 30317.
