Mr. Laurdell Smith, 90, resident of Selma, passed away October 6, 2011 in Selma. Services will be held October 15, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Sandridge Baptist Church officiated  by Pastor M.E. Brown. Burial will follow in church cemetery directed Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Survivors include three sons, Calvin (Mary) Smith, Darry L. Smith of Madison, TN., and Wendell Squire of Selma, AL; four daughters, Lela (Willie) Doss of Lockport,NY, Diane (Frank) Prowell of Detroit, MI.,  Diane (James) Tate of Selma, AL, and Shirley Smith of Queens, NY; two brothers, Samuel (Juanita) Smith and Sylvester Smith; one sister, Lula Mae Suttles; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
