Edwin Lyon Cannon ,60, resident of Jasper, AL., passed away October 8, 2011 at Baptist Medical Center Walker. Services will be held October 11, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Chapel officiated by Johnny Dickerson. Visitation will be held Tuesday at noon until 2:00 p.m.

Mr. Cannon will be buried by his parents in Collirene, AL. A graveside service will be held in Collirene, Wednesday October 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.

Survivors include wife, Connie Cox Cannon of Jasper; sisters, Betty Cannon of Colorado and Ann Cannon of Jasper; step daughter, Crystal Price of Maplesville; step son, Jonathan Cox of Jasper; eight step grandchildren and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by wife, Murlene Walls Cannon; parents Carl W. and Edwin L. Cannon.

Mr. Cannon served in the US Army. He was a Mason and member of York Lodge 211 where he served as Past Master. He worked at Carl Cannon Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Cadillac for many years. He was a longtime member of Samaria Baptist Church.
