Mrs. Essie Mae Brown, 88, resident of Selma, passed away September 1, 2011 in Selma. Services are scheduled for Saturday, September 10, 2011, 12:00 noon at New Mt. Moriah Tyler, Alabama, officiated by   Pastor John Smith. Burial will follow in New Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Survivors include four sons, James Brown, Johnny Mack (Brenda) Brown, Armous (Marie) Brown, and Ray (Sheila) Brown; five daughters,  Bettie Sigler, Ada Steele, Lillian (John) Blackmon, Sarah (Willie) Rudolph, and Dorothy Brown; two sisters, Bertha Milhouse (California) and Minnie Lee Lightfoot (Texas); special friends, Earline McConico and Robert Minefield; thirty nine grandchildren, seventy one great grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren, two sons-in-laws, three daughters-in-laws, a host of nieces and nephews.
