Mr. Allen Cowans, 92, resident of Selma, passed away September 2, 2011 at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at Pine Flat Baptist Church, Minter, AL. officiated by Rev. Randy Tolbert. Burial will follow in Pine Flat Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Survivors include spouse, Carrie Cowans; five sons, John Cowans, Walter Cowans, Herman Cowans, Hugh Cowans, and Terry Cowans; six daughters, Alice Robinson, Barbara Jennings, Frances Robinson, Doris Cowans, Annie Cowans, and Trudy McQueen; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
