Sr. Master Sergeant, Henry Melvin Gilley, passed away at his home August 18, 2011.

He is survived by his loving wife, Alma Jean Gilley(West), daughters, Grace Joy Gray (Donald), Linda Sue Scheilz, Audrene Ruth Bjelke (Tony) and Tina Marie Yelverton (Don),sister,Barbara Harris; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He proudly served 22 years in the USAF. Following his military service he worked for the State of Alabama Employment office in Selma and Demopolis from which he retired. He spent his retirement years enjoying golf. He worked at Craig Base golf course and Ocmulgee golf course.

Graveside services will be Monday, August 22, 2011 at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Stanton, AL with Rev. Don Gray officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Monday, from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Lawrence funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 at the Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, from 10:00 to 10:30 am.  Burial with full Military honors will follow at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Stanton, AL with Rev. Don Gray officiating.
