Allstate agency owner Jeff Lunceford, who recently received the Agency Hands in the Community Award for his public service, shared the spoils by passing on a $1,000 grant to Edgewood Elementary School.
The grant, which is issued through the Allstate Foundation, was given to Lunceford for the third straight year.
Lunceford, who volunteers at Edgewood, said he is happy to be able to provide additional support.
Allstate’s Southeast Region Field Senior Vice President Bob Holden said Lunceford represents exactly what the company hopes to accomplish through community service.
“The Agency Hands in the Community Award celebrates the spirit of service and commitment to communities where we live, work and do business,” he said. “With support from the Allstate Foundation, agent Jeff Lunceford can support Edgewood Elementary in his hometown and help make a difference.
Lunceford said “I’ve seen first-hand the motivation and commitment principal Joe Peterson, the teachers, and program leaders, have for improving our children’s lives and futures.
“Our local schools deserve all the support we can give them. It’s my pleasure to help out in this small way.”
Peterson said he was excited about the grant and the possibilities it brings.
“We are extremely grateful,” he said. “We’ll put this to good use.”
