“This was part of her request, and we’re trying to honor that,” senior pastor Fred Zeigler said.
Windham died June 12 in her home at the age of 93 and was buried June 13.

The service will be led by Zeigler, with the eulogy being given by Donald Davis, minister and storyteller. The Dill Pickers will also be part of the program.

“I believe Norton Dill is going to share a story about Kathryn in their presentation,” Zeigler said. Zeigler said they have made arrangements to accommodate the anticipated turnout.

“We’ve set up a closed circuit TV system,” Zeigler said. This will broadcast to three areas outside the main sanctuary, which Zeigler said will allow them to seat about 700. Beyond that, Windham Hall can also be wired for audio from the service, Parking will be available at the First Baptist and First Presbyterian churches, Alabama Power and street parking, in addition to United Methodist’s lot. There will be no reserved seating except for family members. A reception in Windham Hall will follow the service.
