This Friday and Saturday, nearly 400 students from Wallace Community College-Selma and Concordia College, will no longer be considered undergraduates when they are officially handed their degrees during the weekend’s commencement ceremonies.

Students from Wallace will receive associate degrees and certificates in art, science and applied science, on May 13 at 7 p.m. inside the gymnasium.

Dr. James Mitchell, Wallace Community College president, said he’s always excited for the graduates during this time of year.

“It’s interesting to see many of our students who didn’t have the confidence to pass any of their classes let alone graduate, come to this point,” Mitchell said. “I recognize the energy from family and friends and it’s just a great
