Thomas Daniel Sims, age 27 of Plantersville, passed away on May 7, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on November 21, 1983 in Dallas County, AL, the son of David Payne and Juanita Walker Broadhead.

Daniel was employed at Selma Oil Mill.

He is survived by: Daughter, Lindsey Sims of Missouri; Mother, Juanita (Mark) Broadhead of Plantersville; Father, David Payne of Stanton; Adoptive Father, Danny Gene Sims of Clanton; Grandparents, Merle Walker & Buddy Goggins of Plantersville; Grandparents, Gene & JoAnn Sims of Maplesville; Grandmother, Mary Ann Payne of Stanton; Grandmother, Carol Broadhead of Plantersville; Great Grandmother, Lannice Mobley of Plantersville; Brother, Nathan Broadhead of Plantersville; Sisters, Jennifer Osborne, Christie Payne, and Heather Payne, all of Selma.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 9, 2011 from 5-8pm at the Ellison-Mims Funeral Home in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 11:00am from the Alpine Baptist Church in Maplesville, with the Rev. Billy Boatwright and Rev. Joey Boatwright officiating.

Burial will follow in the Alpine Baptist Church Cemetery in Maplesville
