The Dallas County Lady Hornets got back on the winning track Tuesday with a 9-0 win over Wetumpka High School.

“We haven’t been playing quite as good,” Lady Hornets coach Greg Denson said.

“But we pulled out a good win with this one and got some revenge for the team that beat us a couple of weeks ago.”

The Lady Hornets (25-4) racked up 12 hits in the win.

Kendall Veach and Amy Pursinger each had 3 hits, Whitney Denson had 2 hits and Cassie Daniels added a three-run homerun.

Daniels also led the Lady Hornets on the mound, yet again, giving up only one hit.
