Lewis “Com-mercial” Tarver, 67, formerly of Selma, passed away Wed-nesday, March 23, 2011 at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA.

Services were held Sunday, March 27, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Willie A. Watkins Funeral Home, Atlanta, GA.  Interment was held on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in the Pleasant Plain Cemetery in Dreweryville, VA.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosie Tarver and his father, Willie Steele.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Tarver; one daughter, Ursula (Maurice) Turner; one son, Corey (Shanika) Tarver; one sister, Ruby Dozier of Selma; one brother, Nathaniel Goodwin of Selma, six grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Carrie Williams; his mother in-law, Rosa Vaughn, two aunts, Dora Davis and Edna Coleman, both of Selma; two uncles, Levi Tarver and General Tarver, both of Selma and a host of other relatives and friends.
