Cathedral holds on for victory

In late action Monday night Cathedral Academy held off First Assembly Christian of Sylacauga and overcame a 6-1 deficit in the third inning to win 12-11.
Wes Tipton lead the Lions at the plate with a 2-for-3 performance, including a single, triple and 2 RBI.
DeVante Moorer was 2-for-4 with two singles and 3 RBI.
On the mound for the Lions, Tipton threw three innings and struck out five before giving way to Drew Ross. Ross held off an offensive explosion by First Assembly to secure the win and notch a strikeout of his own.
The Lions are now 2-1 in conference play.
