James (Big Sonny) Moore, Sr., 70, resident of Summerfield passed away February 17, 2011 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Services are sche-duled for February 26, 2011, 12:00 p.m. at Grant Chapel AME officiated by Rev. Marion Brock. Burial will follow in Summerfield Community Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Survivors include spouse Jerrylene Moore; five sons, James Moore, Jr., Gustavus E. Moore, Percy A. Moore, Darryl C. Moore, and Dacarlos R. Moore, Valley Grande, AL; three daughters Christine Ford of Anchorage Alaska, Gwendolyn Moore of Valley Grande, and Sonya Fisher of Augustus, GA; one brother, Curtis Moore of Selma; one sister, Gloria Gean Carter of Selma; 13 grandchildren, one great grandchild, one son-in-law, two daughters-in-laws, two brothers-in-laws, an four sisters-in-laws.
