Jeanne Mildred Swanson, age 86, of Valley Grande, AL, passed away January 22, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Swanson.

She is survived by her sons, Scott (Lena) Swanson, Cliff Swanson and David (Sue) Swanson; daughter, Sue (Bill) Lightfoot; sisters, Betty Fischer and Julia Black; grandchildren, Shelia (Shaun) Smith, Stacie (Randy) Brown, Samantha Swanson, Tad (Amy) Lightfoot, Dori (Clint) Norris, Kenan Swanson and Kenlee Swanson and great-grandchildren, Cole, Logan, Garrett, Tavia, Tavon, Hannah, Allen and Maddox.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Ira Blanchard and Johnny Jones officiating.  Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:30-2:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Chief Deputy Randy Pugh, Roger Goodman, 911 Director, Steve Tidwell, Detective John Treherne, Captain Dan Olinger, Deputy Curtis Miley and Calvin Edwards.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Dallas County Sheriff Department.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Cahaba Hospice, 410 Church Street, Selma, AL, 36701or Pisgah Church, 3024 County Road 44, Selma, AL, 36701.
