District Attorney Michael Jackson said the grand jury issued the indictment in January after his office presented the case.

Hall worked in the circuit clerk’s office from December 2008 until November 2009.

“She was fired for stealing money,” Jackson said. “She confessed to theft of the money, which started within six months of employment.”

Jackson also said Hall paid back the money taken.

A trial date was set for Dec. 6.
