Interdiction detail in Selma sees many arrests, citations written

SELMA — A crackdown on traffic and those leaving clubs Saturday by the Selma police and fire departments resulted in 16 arrests.
Ten people were arrested and charged with minor in consumption of alcohol at local clubs.
One adult was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and public intoxication at a local night club.
A roadblock on Highland Avenue resulted in a total of four arrests for driving under the influence and one arrest for a minor in possession of alcohol.
A check on Sunday for drivers licenses and proofs of insurance by Selma police officers, the detective division, the narcotics unit and the patrol division yielded 53 citations and one DUI arrest between the hours of noon and 8 p.m.
