For now, all we can do is wait

On Friday many watched as the first tropical depression of the Atlantic 2010 hurricane season formed in the Western Caribbean.
It’s uncertain if the weather system will pass over the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. If it does, the system could further complicate an already disastrous situation.
Meanwhile, politicians make their obligatory visits to the Gulf Coast and promise to hold accountable those responsible for the blown-out oil well that continues to spew thousands of gallons of oil into the water.
Volunteers continue to wash oil-soaked birds and other animals, hoping soon something will be done to stop the flow.
Fishermen and others who make a living off the Gulf wait anxiously for some sign of a way to survive.
At this point, all we can do is wait…help in any way we can….and pray.
