Dallas County is not among the 40 targeted by Tim James for a recount in the Republican primary for governor.

The following counties are in the recount Autauga, Baldwin, Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Chambers, Chilton, Clarke, Cleburne, Coffee, Colbert, Covington, Cullman, Dale, DeKalb, Elmore, Escambia, Etowah, Geneva, Houston, Jackson, Jefferson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Lee, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, Mobile, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Pike, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Tallapoosa, Tuscaloosa, Walker, and Winston.

On Tuesday, the GOP said the unofficial final vote totals showed Bradley Byrne and Dr. Robert Bentley in the runoff.

James requested the recount, which is allowed under Alabama state law.
