Help police find suspect

Selma police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery and need the public’s help.

On Sunday around 10:30 a.m. a 24-year-old man was exercising in the 1300 block of Memorial Avenue when a man approached him and pointed a gun and demanded money, said Sgt. Doug Stewart, administrative division commander for the Selma Police Department.

The victim gave the offender $25 and ran off.

Police are searching for a black man, 6-0, 160 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. The man had facial hair.

Stewart asks if anyone saw someone fitting this description around this time in the area of Memorial Avenue to please call the Selma Police Department at 874-6611.
