The National Weather Service at Birmingham has issued a tornado watch until 9 p.m. for Dallas and surrounding counties.

Forecasters say all modes of severe weather are possible today and tonight, including tornadoes, damaging wind, large hail and localized flooding.

The greatest severe weather potential will increase by late morning and continue overnight.
