SELMA — A 15-year-old student is in the Juvenile Detention Center charged with first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana.

On Monday, Selma police officers were called to a local school to investigate a student in possession of marijuana.

Sgt. Doug Stewart, administrative division commander for the Selma Police Department, said officers questioned a student who confessed he had eight baggies of marijuana and handed them to the officers.
