Recycling led by the children

Visitor Auntie Litter taught students about the importance of recycling and encouraged students to go home and put these practices immediately to use.
As Earth Day approaches next week, now is the time to rethink the ways in which we hurt or help the planet.
It’s wonderful that Auntie Litter chose to educate elementary students.
Now they can be the pilots in the mission to rejuvenate the air, land and water.
Many students already participate in environmentally friendly practices like walking to schools and wearing hand-me-down clothing.
Auntie Litter encouraged these behaviors to continue, as well as picking up new habits such as placing items in a trash bag in the car instead of tossing it out the window.
So, when a child reminds you to throw trash in a trash bin, do it. We all have a responsibility to save the planet.
