The Edmund Pettus Bridge is closing for an event with the U.S. Secretary of Education. Workers are setting up now. Police say the bridge will be closed until about 3 p.m. Motorists are asked to take the Cecil Jackson Bypass around downtown to get to the other side of the bridge.
