UNIONTOWN — In area basketball action Tuesday night Francis Marion defeated R.C. Hatch 69-62.

Leading scorers for Francis Marion were Kenneth Tabb with 18 points, Demetrius Bates with 19 and Ledavius Tabb with 13 points.

Devonté Page and Brandon Battle had high scoring honors for Hatch with 17 points each. Trenton Tucker followed with 12.

The game leaves Hatch 8-6 overall and 1-2 in area play.
