Annette Hightower McCullough, 93, of Atlanta died December 12, 2009.
She is preceded by her husband, David N. McCullough.
Surviving are her daughter, Antoinette McCullough Mann and her husband Dr. Charles M. Mann, Jr., and son, David N. McCullough, Jr. Grandchildren Charles Morris Mann, III, wife Ellen, Annette Mann Burns, husband Buddy Burns, and David McCullough Mann, wife Louise. Eight great-grandsons, Matthew, McCullough, Hays and Branch Burns; Charlie Mann; and William, McCullough and Carter Mann.
Mrs. McCullough was a graduate of Washington Seminary in 1935. She was a member of the Atlanta Debutante Club 1936-37 and married at All Saints Episcopal Church in 1937. She was a member of the Junior League of Atlanta, and The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in the state of Georgia, Atlanta Chapter. She was a member of The Piedmont Driving Club.
She and her husband lived in Selma, Alabama most of their life. While there she was a member of the Selma Charity League and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Altar Guild. When Mr. McCullough sold his business, they retired and they moved back to Atlanta.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 15 at 1:30 at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Harry Barrow, Newnan, Ga. Officiating.
Pallbearers will be Gresham McCullough, Jr., Jefferson Hightower, Charles M. Mann, III, David McCullough Mann and Matthew Lynwood Burns, Jr.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to The Colonial Dames, Georgia Chapter, The Andrew Low House, 329 Abercorn St., Savannah, Georgia 31401; to Canterbury Court, 3750 Peachtree Rd, NW Atlanta, Georgia 30319 or the Atlanta Humane Society, 981 Howell Mill Road, NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30309.
