CCA wins 3rd

PRATTVILLE — Central Christiaqn Academy’s Lady Warriors took a measure of revenge against Autaugaville on Saturday with a 50-48 victory.
Autaugaville put CCA in the loser’s bracket of the Prattville tournament in the first game. CCA took third place in the event with the victory.
Leading CCA was Sha’Nique with 16 points, while Sandretta Thomas followed with 13 points. Kara Rawls had 10 points and 13 rebounds.
The victory pushed CCA to 2-2 going into its own tournament at 6:30 p.m. Monday agaisnt Hooper.
Southside sweeps
two vs. Calhoun
SELMA — Southside’s girls swamped Calhoun 62-32, and the boys followed with a 65-62 victory Saturday for the sweep.
Leading the Lady Panthers (3-1) were Takari Nelson and Keyria Miles with 12 points each. Africa Tyler had nine points.
In the boys game, Demarcus Smith had 19 poins, followed by Terrance Cooper with 18 and LaQuentin Gunn with 14.
Southside went to 2-2.
On Friday, Southside’s girls beat Francis Marion 44-40 behind Tyler’s 11 points. The boys won 52-50 after Cooper scored 17 points and Smith had 15 points.
