MONTGOMERY — The towns of Luverne and White Hall have received Community Development Block Grants of $400,000 each for infrastructure improvements.

White Hall will construct a treatment plant and sewer line to serve 138 residents.

Each community will pay a match of $40,000.

Funding for the grants came to the state through a program of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The Alabama Department of Economic and Commuity Affairs is administering the grant.
