SELMA — Max Howell, an administrator and coach for several Division I football programs around the South, will address the Selma Quarterback Club at its next meeting Monday.
The Selma Quarterback Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Carl C. Morgan Convention Center.
Born in Montgomery and raised in Prattville, Howell attended both Auburn and Troy State University, where he played college football.
He also earned a master’s degree in school administration and finance when he graduated from Troy University.
He worked as an administrator and a coach at Florida State, Ole Miss, and Troy University.
He is probably best known as the host of multiple syndicated sports radio programs across the South.
The Selma Quarterback Club has three more scheduled speakers, and former Auburn and Ole Miss football Tommy Tuberville — a native of Camden — has agreed to speak one night.
On Oct. 19, Hank Nichols is scheduled to address the club. Nichols retired as the NCAA overseer of men’s basketball officials.
