Every year with the a little chill in the air, well typically, the Central Alabama Fair rolls into town.
This year it starts Oct. 5 and ends Oct. 10.
The fair holds something for everyone. There are rides for kids and adults, crafts, games, food pageants, animals and even more events.
The lights, smells and kids running around having a good time bring to life the Lions Club fairgrounds every night. The group puts on the fair every year and for the third year in a row, the Lion’s Club Central Alabama Fair took home top prize of Grand Champion.
The club beat out other fairs like the one in Mobile and the National Peanut Festival.
Aside from being award winning, the fair creates memories and traditions that can be passed down from generation to generation.
The men and women of the Lion’s Club work hard year around to produce the Central Alabama Fair and it is an event that truly benefits the city.
So sometime between Oct. 5-10 pack up your car and head down to the fair. Create some memories and appreciate the dedication the Lion’s Club has to the city of Selma.
