Barbara Moore, age 71 of Selma passed away on September 10, 2009 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. She was retired from Selma City Schools after 31 years of service as Edgewood Elementary’s cafeteria manager. Graveside services will be held on Sunday September 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Rod Rochester and Rev. Earl Carswell officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Moore is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Charles Moore, her parents, Leroy and Frances Chavers, and a sister, Frances “Tootsie” Kaldor.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Scott) Harris, her sons, David Moore and Randy Moore, her grandchildren, Chelsea Moore, Jessica Moore, Landon Moore, Brandon (Sabrina) Harris, Christy (Matthew) Smyly, Randy (Amanda) Moore, Jr., and Casey Moore, 5 great-grandchildren, and her two sisters, Marilyn Sebren and Sandra White.
Pallbearers will be Randy Moore, Jr., Brandon Harris, Jeff Wolf, Wayne Moore, Shannon Poynor, and Jonathan Sebren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday September 12, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
