Laura Virginia Watson, age 93 of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday in the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Harris officiating. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery.
A native of Alabama, Mrs. Watson moved to Powder Springs, Georgia 3 years ago. She was a member of Safford Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C.Watson in 1988, and her son, Marshall Stevens Watson in 1992.
Virginia was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. She was a gentle southern lady of great character and strong faith. Her judgment, talents, humor and friendly spirit brought out the finest in those around her. Her influence upon others is a flame that will burn brightly forever.
She left so much good, love of family, friends and Orrville with every soul she touched on this earth. Sandra and Jack Bickford (her family), Beverly and Chuck Murray and Grace Hammock, along with Vista Care Hospice were blessed to be in her life. We know that she is peaceful now in Gods hands.
