THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE COUNTIES SERVED BY THE

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE IN BIRMINGHAM.

.DAY ONE…THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

AS TROPICAL DEPRESSION CLAUDETTE MOVES NORTHWEST ACROSS SOUTHWEST

ALABAMA SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE TO STREAM ACROSS THE AREA. ALTHOUGH

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE…VERY LITTLE LIGHTNING IS

EXPECTED. PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BE POSSIBLE IN BANDS AND

THUS A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR ALONG AND SOUTH OF A

LIVINGSTON…TO CLANTON…TO NAPOLEON LINE. ISOLATED WEAK SPIN UP

TORNADOES WILL REMAIN A POSSIBILITY WITH A DETERIORATING TROPICAL

SYSTEM.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

ANOTHER 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAINFALL WILL BE POSSIBLE ON TUESDAY IN

HEAVIER BANDS. HEAVIEST AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY BE WEST OF INTERSTATE 65.

ALSO…STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ON FRIDAY AS A COLD

FRONT PASSES THROUGH CENTRAL ALABAMA.
