MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — An Alabama court that hears complaints against judges has voted to reprimand Hale County Circuit Judge Marvin Wiggins and suspend his pay for three months.

The Alabama Court of the Judiciary decided Thursday that Wiggins can return to the bench on Monday, but without pay for 90 days.

The Court of the Judiciary ruled that Wiggins violated the ethical rules for judges by not stepping aside from a voter fraud investigation in west Alabama that involved three relatives. The court said his conduct “was without reasonable excuse or justification.”
