Selma High defensive lineman Dexter Blackmon has made a verbal commitment to LSU after attending a recent summer football camp in Baton Rouge, La.

Blackmon is a 6-4, 278-pound senior who was named to the Selma Times-Journal’s 2009 All-Area team. He runs the 40 in 4.8 seconds and has a 29-inch vertical leap. In the weight room, his squats are about 500 pounds and he bench presses 345.

Verbal commitments are non-binding.
