Different time, same place

Take a step back in time to look at old photographs Thursday night and enjoy some conversation and food and beverage at the Harmony Club on Water Avenue.
The photographs, many never seen before, are from the trunk of Billy Rosenberg, a founder of the Old Depot Museum. The event Thursday is a fundraiser for the museum.
Several weeks ago, David Hurlbut, a part-time worker at the museum, discovered about 2,000 old, big negatives in the trunk. He and Martin began looking at the photos on a makeshift table crafted by Hurlbut.
They decided, along with the board, to hold a showing of the Rosenberg photographs at the Harmony Club.
Those photographs show a time when the Cloverleafs still played at Bloch Park and Model-Ts chugged over Broad Street.
The show will begin at 6:30 and end at 9 p.m. Master griller Robert Gordon plans some treats and there’ll be other light snacks.
A silent auction of four framed photographs is planned from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Those who attend will have the opportunity to view and order copies of the photographs.
