Good news for those who have missed their slushies.

Sonic Drive-in will return within 90 to 120 days. Workers will raze the existing building and construct a new one, according to the owners.

Sheryl Z. Smedley, director of the Selma-Dallas County Chamber of Commerce, said she had spoken Monday with Ashley Sims, supervisor partner with Jayco Foods in Columbus.

Sims apologized for not letting anyone in Selma know what had happened with the franchise on Broad Street. He was in an automobile accident last week and is recovering from a broken leg.
