THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE COUNTIES SERVED BY THE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE IN BIRMINGHAM.
.DAY ONE…THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.
ISOLATED SEVERE STORMS ARE POSSIBLE ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE
FROM SELMA…TO PRATTVILLE…TO OPELIKA. THIS AREA INCLUDES THE
CITIES OF TROY…EUFAULA…TUSKEGEE…AUBURN…PHENIX CITY
AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. THE MAIN STORM THREATS WILL BE DAMAGING
WINDS TO 60 MPH…ONE TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN IN SHORT PERIOD OF
TIME…AND FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. A FEW TREES MAY BE
KNOCKED DOWN BY THESE WINDS AND LOCALIZED FLOODING IS POSSIBLE. ANY
PARTICULAR LOCATION MAY RECEIVE MORE THAN ONE ROUND OF THUNDERSTORMS
THROUGH 7 PM.
ELSEWHERE…A FEW STRONG STORMS ARE POSSIBLE WITH THUNDERSTORM RE-
DEVELOPMENT…MAINLY AFTER 8 PM. THE MAIN THREATS WILL BE WIND GUSTS
TO 40 MPH AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.
ISOLATED STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE AGAIN ON FRIDAY
WITH THE PASSAGE OF A COLD FRONT. THE LIKELY TIMING OF STORM
DEVELOPMENT WILL BE FROM THE EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS…POSSIBLY LASTING
INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. STRONG DAMAGING WINDS TO 60 MPH AND HEAVY
RAINFALL WILL BE THE PRIMARY THREATS WITH THE LINE OF STORMS.

ACTIVATION OF STORM SPOTTERS AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT IS NOT EXPECTED
AT THIS TIME.
