Dear editor,

Kudos to our wonderful sheriffs department. Recent storm caused power failure and while on the phone with my brother in S.C., my cordless phone connection was lost for several hours. My brother called the sheriffs department concerned and they sent a deputy to check on me.

What a comfortable, secure feeling that was. Thank you Sheriff Huffman and the nice deputy (I didn’t get his name) for looking out for seniors living alone.
