THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE COUNTIES SERVED BY THE

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE IN BIRMINGHAM.

.DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT.

A MESOSCALE CONVECTIVE SYSTEM ALREADY AFFECTING PARTS OF THE MID

MISSISSIPPI VALLEY COULD ENTER THE NORTHWEST PORTIONS OF CENTRAL

ALABAMA THIS EVENING. THOUGH THE TIMING OF THIS SYSTEM IS STILL

UNCERTAIN…IF THE SYSTEM HOLDS TOGETHER…THUNDERSTORMS WITH WIND

GUSTS OF 40 TO 45 MPH WOULD BE POSSIBLE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

ISOLATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ON SUNDAY. THE MAIN

THREAT FROM ANY STORMS THAT FORM WOULD BE DAMAGING WINDS.

AN APPROACHING FRONT IS EXPECTED TO GENERATE SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS

MONDAY AND MONDAY EVENING. SOME OF WHICH MAY BECOME STRONG WITH GUSTY

WINDS AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

ACTIVATION OF STORM SPOTTERS AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL IS

NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
