Selma’s 17- to 18-year-old Dixie Majors All-Stars rallied for three runs in the seventh inning to beat Holtville 5-3 and capture the District 4 championship.

Selma now moves on to the substate round-robin tournament July 10-12 in Thomasville. Each team is guaranteed to play four games.

Trailing 3-2 going into the top of the seventh inning, Selma’s Richard Long led off with a single. Pinch runner Jacolby Adams scored when J.R. Lowe followed with a double off the top of the fence. Blake Robinson followed with a two-run home run to complete the rally.

Lowe got the pitching victory when he completed the bottom of the seventh against the first three batters.
